Should i forget him or keep trying?

So i really like my best guy friend and he flirts with me all the time. he puts his arm around me and sings to me and holds my hand and a BUNCH of other stuff. i know he doesnt like me but he keeps constantly flirting. this has been going on for five months and he STILL doesnt like me. i am totally in love with this guy and he knows it. but he just wants to be friends. i've flirted with other guys in front of him and he always tries to get my attention when he see's it. Like i was flirting with one of my other friends and he was sittin right next to us so he started talking to me and pokin me and tryin to make me laugh and concentrate on him. and i stopped texting him for a week and just ignored him and he kept coming up to me and tryin to flirt. and he thought i was mad at him and kept asking what was wrong. he has told me he loved me twice but once it was a joke and the other time i just ignored it. what should i do?! i know he doesnt like me.
