Weird guy but he's really hot. Should I ignore the weirdness and continue dating him?

I think this guy is emotionally traumatized. I'm the same way around girls, I act like a because it's my defense mechanism and it repels them. I used to be really nervous around cute girls that liked me and I'd never try and kiss them so they lost interest and dumped me, kept happening over and over again so I built a defence mechanism when a girl would hit on me I would automatically ume she will break up with me so my ******** defenses go up and I end up pissing her off.
